My Cavies

Picture
pie chart produced by K Williams
The Cavies are all fed on a diet of Marsdens Pellets & Marsdens mix these are mixed in with Graze on (dried grass) and Pasture Mix. They get unlimited hay and a good amount of veg every day (I'm very fussy about the veg they eat too and they don't get grotty stuff - If I won't eat it- they don't eat it).

The cavies are given grazing time on fresh grass when weather permits and in winter months I've started feeding a bran mash which they love.
I know them all for their individual personalities and because they are well handled they are all tame and friendly.

About me (updated 3/12/11)

Picture
I have kept guinea pigs/cavies as pets since around 2006.  In 2011 I  was tempted by more specific breeds. I am a hobby breeder/exhibitor and I like to share it with my children who also love to come along to cavy shows and exhibit our much loved cavies. I keep Rex mainly now and Selfs  along with some Coronet/Sheltie. I also have a few Himalayans, satin pets, Peruvians and my precious Abyruvians.  All of my guinea pigs are my pets and they are well loved and pampered by me and my boys Owen and Leo. My long term aim is to increase my knowledge of these breeds and thus improve my own lines but only on a small scale to enable me to exhibit good quality piggies.

I have met so many wonderful friends within the piggy world :)
